does anyone else find it difficult getting jobs done during the day with a baby that doesnt sleep? DS IS 8WKS and only cat naps for 20-30 min all day. i find it near enough impossible getting anything done other than quick ran round with vacuum. Have loads of things need sortig but he never asleep long enough to do them! he feeds, sleeps for half an hour then wakes and its constant pacifying, holding etc till next feed then! wouldnt mind this so much if he slept well at night but he only goes 3hours then. know he is only small but reality is other things have to get done.

39 weeks? Wow. I was up for nothing but playing freecell and eating biscuits at that stage.

well if you're a livewire it sounds right that your dcs are too. I, on the other hand am bone idle and rarely to be seen in company and baby bees is following in my footsteps. I think you always want a bit of what you haven't got don't you? Sometimes I'm a bit that DD doesn't demand my company more but then I realise I'm being ridiculous. Your child is who he/she is and all you can do is make them the happiest them they can be.

I also know it's easy for someone a bit housework lax like me to be flippant about these things but I do realise that some people really NEED a clean and tidy home or they feel sort of adrift.

glad it helped. see, your dcs are part of a select group of very special, highly demanding but highly rewarding children. Now walk away from the iron and have a cup of tea to celebrate................

i wish i could be a bit more relaxed about the housework! dont get me wrong, my house isnt exceptionally tidy/clean but i like to have certain routine each day and get stressed if i dont get it all done. my sis is the same and we often say that we wish we could be the kind of people who can leave housework and not get all mithered! that said im not doing much tonight, im gonna have that cuppa(with a dash of whiskey cos ive got a bad cold and feel rough!)
