Tips on helping 3.5 yo DTS recognise letters

My DTS have started to recognise letters. They already recognise the first letters to their name and when we go out, they always point out those letters, especially on street signs and car number plates. Consequently, journeys take much longer, even though they are both still in the pram because I have to stop to allow them to analyse the letters.

I read to them most days and they visit the library regularly. They also know the alphabet via the ABC song and recognise their names (but can only name the first letter). I was wondering what else I can do to nurture and embrace their voracious curiosity in recognising letters from the alphabet, especially those that make up their name.

Any tips will be gratefully received.

TIA

Umm
my daughter was exactly like this and remains so at age 5 - delighted by the puzzle of words and letters and finding it all interesting and exciting. I think that is partly because I didn't do anything beyond what you are doing.
It is fun, they are happy and enjoying it - why do you think they need anymore? It is happening naturally as it should.

Letter land is lovely. There are charaters and stories to go with each letter. I used to have a set of foam letters for the bath too which my dds used to love playing with. But agree with pagwatch that what you are doing sounds great.
