permanent tooth order

My DS is 5, 6 in July. He lost his bottom central incisors almost a year ago now (May, June) and the adult teeth came along. He now has slightly wobbly upper teeth but not about to fall at all. He also has slightly wobbly lateral incisors on the bottom. He complained of tooth ache so I had a look in his mouth and can see that an adult lateral incisor at the bottom is through the gum (but still behind the baby tooth). I'm not worried that it's behind the baby tooth as his others did this but I thought the top incisors came through before these ones? I guess my question is does it warrant a dental visit or can they come along in the wrong order and it doesn't matter?

Hey I'm a dental nurse. Not everyones teeth follow the rules. In fact most don't come in, in the text book order. I wouldn't worry about it at all but if you're worried just mention it at his next checkup. If he hasn't had a check up in over 6 months then book one and just ask the dentist at the same time.

They often fall out in the order that they came in ime so it might not be the "normal" expected order.

DD is the same age as your DS, both front bottom teeth came out what seems like an age ago but is probably less than a Yr.
Lost the tooth to the left a couple of months ago and also had the adult tooth coming through behind the baby tooth and has now just lost the one to the right.
No signs of any of the top being wobbly yet.
The tooth that came through behind has gradually moved forward and is almost in line with the front teeth now.

My older DD had a perm molar come through the side of her gum as the baby one hadn't come out yet, again the adult molar has now moved down to the correct position and you wouldn't be able to tell looking at it now.
