Damage to a friend's house

So my 5 year old accidentally caused some damage to a friends house - she was sitting and bouncing on a radiator behind a sofa whilst my friend and I were in the kitchen. Of course we didn't know until the next morning when my friend texts to say there was water on the floor and the rad was hanging off the wall. I was mortified when my friend told me and I will be paying for the repairs to fix it. I spoke to my child about it and she now knows to tell me or an adult if she has broken something. The problem is my friend is now anxious about us coming over to her house again and has made some comments about her behaviour overall and not having boundaries. (BTW we are both single parents with no family near by and we have been in a bubble for the last year just in case anyone was going to comment!). I'm feeling pretty hurt by the whole thing...I would be interested in others' views on this

I would just apologise again and give her a bit of time to get it fixed and hopefully get over it. You're paying to get it fixed so there's not much else you can do. Just keep a closer eye on the kids when you're there next.

Do you think that your friend is right about the boundaries or do you think she's just a bit cross and this will blow over?
