Can we have a bragging thread?

I know I know it's not really accepted to brag about your kids but I am so proud of my boys...

Can we start a bragging thread?

My 2 year old can clap on beat. He has an increadible sense of rythm. He sings 'twinkle twinkle' and accompanies himself on the piano with both hands (it's not the right notes, but the right beat). It actually sounds quite nice.

And my 6 month old has 7 teeth.

My ds 2.4 was always tremendously advanced at throwing tantrums....practically from birth

PrettyBetty · 05/11/2007 21:19

My 7yr old is in the top sets at school.
She is remarkably confident.
She is very witty.

She is a super irish dancer and has 13 medals and 2 trophies do far. She was on stage this weekend in front of a whole hall full of people and didnt bat an eyelid. Shes not cocky either though which is just lovely.

My 4yr old is particularly loving and caring. She takes me back sometimes when she shows concern and love for someone.
She is witty too.

Both of mine slept through from 3months old.
Both walked at 11months.
Both are gorgeous.

I love em to bits and am so proud.

ShinyHappyRocketsGoingBANG · 05/11/2007 21:30

My SN 7 year old can throw a Thomas train at your head with deadly accurate precision and give you concussion!

ShinyHappyRocketsGoingBANG · 05/11/2007 21:32

My DS (2 1/2) can use DH's mini screwdriver to screw in the screws on flatpack furniture.

DH seriously thinks that DD said hello to him. She is almost 7 weeks.

PrettyBetty · 05/11/2007 21:35

ah, i forgot to mention that mine also farts for England and Scotland!! She's got a real loud habit and everytime she does it she laughs and smiles! I love her !!

wrinklytum · 05/11/2007 21:39

After 3 weeks of us practising her physio exercises dd today managed to get herself into a crawl position. She cannot actually crawl yet but it is a step in the right direction if you'll excuse the pun .I was so proud. She started bumshuffling at 15 months but has never been able to get on her knees before. She is 2 soon so maybe we will see a crawl of sorts before her birthday

ds is 2.4 and is finally making progress with his talking after being a fair bit behind his peers. He is such a sweet boy and I'm so proud of him.

He can however recognise almost all letters, count up to 5 items (rather than reciting), oh and he is super handsome like dh! And he has an awesome memory and can tell you what's on each aisle of the supermarket in order even when we aren't there (key items only not everything!)

I never stop being grateful for him (long story but I have extra reason I think to be grateful).

DS could forward roll at 18 months and can now count up to 6 at 2.4 months. He also shared the use of Brum at a garden centre. OK, so I prompted him but he did it twice without complaining or whinging. I was so proud. And he can charm even sulky teenagers into smiling at him.

DD has decided to grow red hair. Which is a bit of a shock because I'm very dark and DH is very fair (as is DS). But I'm very proud of her lovely titian tints!

dooley1 · 06/11/2007 07:28

lol at being proud of teeth

dooley1 · 06/11/2007 07:29

kinki · 06/11/2007 07:59

My baby can tantrum like a 2yo.
My 2yo can strop like a 7yo.
My 7yo can sulk like a teenager.
My dc are very advanced.

leonieandevie · 06/11/2007 12:17

Considering I posted a thread worrying about her lack of babbling I'm now pleased to say that my 6 month old DD has her first word! Not "mama" or "dada" but "poo-poo"! Bless her. Her 7 month old friend Francis can say "Bum" so together they are great to take out to resturants! Oh yes and she kicked DH in the nether regions last night. Hehe.
