Potty Training 3 year old

Hey. So my youngest is 3 years and 4 months. Decided to try him with potty but he just kept peeing in his pants. Just before Christmas he did a random 💩 in the potty and that was all. I'm getting really stressed that he's not interested. Sometimes he'll pee in the nappy and tell me he needs changed. Should I keep trying him or leave it for now? My other son was trained by 3

Unless you need to rain him now, I'd wait a few weeks until the weather has warmed up. Potty training is always so much easier when the weather is warm Smile

I wouldn't stress too much. It will come.

With mine I literally had a day at home with DS in no nappy or pants and ran after him with the potty whenever he needed to wee. He got it pretty quickly... we do have wooden floors though so easy to clean.

Mine trained very easily at just turned 2 by keeping her bare from the waist down. She'd got the idea after just a couple of days and so we then introduced trousers but no pants and had the potty right there. She's then become fully potty trained daytime barr the odd accident at almost 3. Despite being at it for almost a year though she will still wee and poo mostly in her pullup if it's there and it still confuses her. I'm convinced she would've been a nightmare if I'd done it the nicey nicey way and used pullups. My advice would be wait til Spring/summer when he can comfortably walk around in the nuddy and tell him he's a big boy and going to use the potty now and MEAN it. Don't give him the option to go back to pullups if you can help it. Especially as he's that bit older he needs to know that it isn't really optional. I found a book called 'oh crap potty training' really helpful although I've disregarded the advice about night training as it recommends waking them at night. I wouldn't recommend this personally as they'll just train their bladder to need to get up then. Nightime training is mostly hormonal and will usually sort itself by the time they really need it to be (ie when they're having sleepovers etc) Good luck! Most kids do get it by school age so don't worry x

Sorry I worded that funny. She trained fully pretty quick after turning age 2. She's nearly 3 now I meant
