Hello. Im just wondering my son is 4 and very delayed . I've suspected autism. Since he was 1 when we started to see our peadiatrician anyway she said and continues to say that we need to give it time to watch him grow and because his nursery GARS wasn't high he couldn't have it . Now his in school(well currently his at home) they have a done a 2nd GARS and in my eyes he has scored high . Waiting to discuss the results on my next appointment. Anyway sorry I'm blabbering
So peadiatrician says we need to have an EHCP but parents (us) school and working together teams don't feel currently this is needed, school have got support in already and are doing a lot for him them self's. And his only been in school for 3 months before the current lockdown there isn't enough evidence and they would like him to settle and see how he develops . But ultimately there not ruling it out later down the line.
And the fact it would stay with him for his education im not keen off because he has developed a lot more just recently.
So my question is we got an email form peadiatrician yesterday after me commenting for something. She wants a copy of the EHCP i said we havnt got it yet and said my reasons why...... as we've refused her advice is she legally able to refuse to treat him anymore ???
