4 is a bit early I would have thought. Is it not normally around the age of 6/7 that they start to lose baby teeth? (might be wrong though)

Some lost theirs in Reception so I'd say between 4 and 8 is the typical range.

Dd was just 5. One of her friends was two months short of her fifth birthday.

By the same token, our friend's son is 7 and hasn't lost a single tooth yet.

There's a huge variation in the time they lose their teeth - 4 is young, but not so young that it's worrying.

Plus they can take months to fall out once they start to wobble!

DD lost her first tooth age 4 and a half. She was the earliest in her class by far but I'm pretty sure any time from 4 onwards is the norm. No harm to check with your dentist though..

My daughter was 5 last week and has already lost 2 teeth (first when she was 4 and a half). She co-incidentally was at the dentist on Friday who said it was normal and her teeth were great.

DD's first was at 4, then none for ages. 5 out this week! She's going to bankrupt the toothfairy.
