7mo waking and farting during the night - help!

My 7mo dd keeps waking early in the night and gets herself it a real state. Its not every night but most and she is often farting quite a bit so I think her tummy may be a big part of it. She doesn't feed until 1.30/2ish but is waking anywhere between 10.30 and the feed. I'm starting to go mad with it as she just won't resettle without being cuddled no matter how much I try.
I've been up with her for 2 hours tonight and she's dropping off on me (this is becoming a habit) as shes refused every other way. I'm struggling with it - more emotionally than physically.

  • Dh has early starts so often ends up moving to the spare room which he needs but I hate.
  • Shes in a cot in our room (her rooms not ready - middle of a renovation. Hopefully soon though).
  • we use a dummy but feel like this is starting to become an issue as it pops out and reawaken her as shes dropping off.
  • shes weaning - blw. Not noticed any particular food making her worse or better but am keeping a log of it all. Shes mainly actually eating breakfast (weetabix, porridge, pancakes, toast etc) other meals she tends to play with rather than eat much.
  • after first feed our night improves and she tends to wake again for food at 4/4.30 but is fine.

I am after any advice you can give but also knowing I'm not alone would be good too.

I'd go right back to just offering breakfast for at least 3 days to give her tummy a chance to settle.

Sounds like she's struggling a bit with the transition to solids Smile

Tummy massage is great for tummy trouble. Google how to do the I love you massage. It's brill. Do a few times a day to help keep the wind moving.
