Picked DS up from nursery today to be told that he'd been munching on his little mates. He had been teething his eye teeth recently so is a bit more "bitey". I'm hoping that when they come through it might get better. He's changed a lot in the last month with temper tantrums/strops/grabbing toys off other children/pushing and shoving (this sounds like he does all the time but he can also be a delight)...how do I react to this in a child his age. He definitely understands "no" - at nursery they take the child from the situation and say a firm "no" - today he cried both times when he was told off. Any other methods which have worked for you at this age ?

With both my DDs when they have tried bitting or hitting or anything like that, i've usually nipped it in the bud straight away with a strong NO and removing from the situation.
I feel that if they think they got away with it once they will be tempted to try it again and again.

My 20 month old bit a kid at the child minders last week...the childminder said NO and then sat her in a different room away from the others. She tantrummed a bit and screamed the place down...but she hasn't done it since..
My little girl even tries to push around 4 year olds...taking their toys and shoving them out the way...but i've been assured it is all normal and they grow out of it...when they've left home.....
