5 year old DD still not dry at night

DD is 5 years 1m. Fully daytime potty trained by 3yo. She is a very deep sleeper, always has been, and is still in pull ups at night. She does have on average 1 night per week dry, but has never once woke in the night for the toilet. Her pull ups aren't heavy but she's definitely passed urine 1-2 times and I'm guessing it's later in the night as we get her up when we go to bed at 11ish and she's always dry. She doesn't have any drinks after her evening meal.

I know the guidelines previously stated she could have a referral for this from age 7 but they have been amended and now it's age 5. But I feel it's a little early still. Is it unusual for a child this are to not be dry at night?

I don't think it's that unusual no, I've met 9 yo who can't go on sleep overs because they aren't dry but if you are worried I'd speak to the GP, I think it's just a simple blood test to check her hormone levels Smile

My daughter was wearing pull ups until a few months after her 5th birthday. She just announced she wanted to wear knickers at night and that was that. She was dry during the day from 2.8 months. I wasn't worried as I'd heard they do it when they're ready. My friend's DD has just turned 6 and is still not dry at night. Five is totally normal, I wouldn't worry unless it's causing her any distress.

Dont over think or worry about it. One of my DDs was fully dry then suddenly started wetting herself again at 4yrs 6mo, we put her back in nighttime pull-ups, she was about 5yrs 8/9mos before she was fully dry again. She occasionally had an odd accident, even at 7yo, usually when she wasn’t feeling well or really tired.
