Help! My 5 week old is so noisy when put down

Hi All,
I was really hoping for some advice as I’m at my wits end.
My DD is 5 weeks old and fed well up until 2.5 weeks after that something changed with her feeding but I don’t know what or why.

The main problem is that she is so noisy when put down to sleep. Grunting, wriggling she generally sounds so uncomfortable (but there’s no crying) however she can fall sounds asleep when held or lay with myself or husband but then after 5 mins of being put down the noises start. She seems to be taking her bottle fine and is feeding around 3-4oz every 3-4 hours however sometimes it can be a struggle in that she wants the milk and cries for it but some feeds (not the same time feed) she drinks an oz and almost like age can’t get anymore in and she’s too full.

Initially we though it was Colic so we started Infacol which helped with bringing the wind up but then she started having milk come down her nose so we spoke to the dr and he prescribed gaviscon for reflux however this made her very constipated so we’ve stopped it and although we’ve stopped the reflux doesn’t seem to be happening all the time but then I thought maybe it could be silent reflux.
I videoed her during the night and showed the health visitor and she said most definitely colic so we changed her bottles and milk to comfort milk but it still doesn’t seem to be working and although it’s for constipation she’s still not going regularly and trumps a lot and they stink (I know this is a thing with this milk)

I really am unsure on whether I just have a fussy baby who likes to be held or if there’s something else going on. We are like walking zombies right now as not getting any sleep and I hate that she seems so uncomfortable and I can’t help!

Any ideas of similar experiences?

Can I just clarify, is she awake when she's making these noises and if she is, does she settle if you gently put a hand on her tummy for a couple of minutes to sooth her?

Have you tried swaddling as well?

Hi jiltedjohnsjulie
Most often than not Her eyes are closed so I think she is asleep yes however sometimes the wriggling and grunting etc causes her to wake so she is then wide awake.
She does it majority of the night with 10-15 mins periods of quietness in between

We have swaddled her since she was born however we thought that this may have been causing her to wriggle so stopped about a week ago. We go back and forth but it doesn’t make a difference either way 😩

I think it’s really common for newborns to grunt- google grunting baby syndrome (it’s a thing!) We had it with our second and he grew out of it by about 10 weeks. It was so frustrating not being able to sleep even though he was asleep; I feel for you but I think it’s just their immature digestive system and most probably nothing to worry about
