Feet pushing/pressure driving me insane..

For as long as I can remember our 3 year old has pushed his feet against us when he’s relaxing.. almost like a cat will paddle a cushion.. he’ll flex and push his feet against my arm/leg/stomach... anything he can get purchase on, and it’s driving me and my wife nuts.. even if I move up on the settee, he’ll just find his way to across until his feet are touching me... I can’t tell you how annoying it is, I’ve tried talking to him about it, and he just says that it feels nice.. I’m wondering if it’s something to do with growing pains, or maybe some kind of sensory issue.. he’s always been a big fidget, but this is one habit that just isn’t abating.. Infact it seems to beg getting worse.. we notice that it increases during leaps too...as I type this he’s flexing his toes on my arm... please send hun...
please tell me I’m not alone and forever doomed to feel tiny feet pushing against my hips for the rest of time.. by the time he gets to 18 he’ll be pushing me over the side! 😂

He needs some
Sensory therapy this is defo a sensory behaviour.
If you can afford it I would look at a private occupational health assessment or speak to your gp.

Does he have any developmental delay?

Not really.. but I don’t spend much time with kids his age tbh, staff at his nursery have never raised any concerns..had a great parents evening recently...I’d actually say he’s advanced in some areas.. like he can count to 30, knows his alphabet..really good at writing letters through copying...he’s even recognising grammar and punctuation in books and knows what they mean...I would say that he’s always been a bit sensitive.. his pre-emptive anxiety used to be pretty bad, but it’s got a lot better, the one thing he does regularly that is a bit strange is that he’ll sometimes ask questions that he already knows answers to, like “is it dark outside” while we’re stood outside....
oh and he hates hand dryers in toilets.. apart from that I’d say he’s a pretty normal 3 year old really.. loves imaginative play etc

I'd say it's
Probably sensory then,
Have a look at peanut balls
Or amazon maybe get him
One and encourage him to push against it. It may help
His need.
