Feeding 2 year old

Hi all. I'm looking for some advice on how much a 2 year old should be eating. Mine can eat and eat, especially breakfast, and I'm concerned about him becoming 'greedy'. What's a normal breakfast? Thanks 😊

Not sure what is normal, I guess if they seem a healthy weight it should be OK. My 2 Yr old snacks a lot but doesn't really eat proper meals. Breakfast for my LO is usually dry cheerios with a glass of milk on the side 😅 He looks healthy anyway so hopefully getting what he needs.

Thank you. Mine would happily eat 3 Weetabix and a yogurt but I'm concerned that's a bit much.

I find mine varies. She either eats hardly a thing or you literally can't fill her up. What I try and do rather than restrict food is insist on a different food type as the worst habit health-wise would be to get into the habit of just filling up on beige food all day IMO. eg if she keeps asking for more cereals at breakfast she is offered a piece of fruit instead. At main meal times she will usually pester for more of the starchy carb like potato/pasta. That is fine but she gets a bit then she must eat some veg and protein before she gets any more. If they're hungry enough they will eat what they're offered within reason. I wouldn't worry too much though. If he looks lean and is active then he's healthy.

Thank you. Yes that's a good point. As much variety as possible. He seems super healthy to me and running around everywhere 😁
