Silent reflux? Help!

Hi, my DD is almost 5 weeks old. As a first time Mum at first I thought she was just a fussy baby but now I'm almost convinced she has silent reflux. She has good days (just about bareable) and really bad days. On the bad days she cries and is completely inconsolable unless she is held upright propped against my shoulder. She gets hiccups after feeds (bottle fed) and often coughs, splutters during and after. When she cries she seems really uncomfortable and hates being put on her back to sleep. When she is put down she'll sleep for no more than 5 minutes before waking up hysterically crying. When she eventually nods off for longer she sounds bunged up and slightly wheezy, I thought at first she might have colic but have tried MAM bottles and infacol and have seen no improvements, and she seems to be worse in the day rather than the evening. My Mummy instinct is telling me this is silent reflux, thankfully she keeps the milk down and has been putting on weight. I'm going to talk to GP on Monday and see what they suggest. I'm finding it so upsetting to see her in such distress and I'm literally spending the whole day holding her to comfort her, by the end of the day I'm exhausted and in tears along with her. Has anyone had any similar experiences or tips? I'm hoping she'll be prescribed some medication and I'll see some improvement soon. Thank you x

Yep sounds like it is reflux. Does she arch her back when she is fussing? That's a tell tale sign. My DS had initially silent reflux which became more pukey reflux the more milk he drank as he got older. We tried infant gaviscon initially (that will be what the Dr first prescribes) but he was still in pain so eventually he moved to omeprazole which we weaned him off of at 7 months. He's fine now x
