Does your girl name her dollies or soft toys?

Because mine (3yo) doesn't.
Not that I worry. I wouldn't even notice, but it's obvious that other people think she must have names for her babies & animals.
"What's the name of your doll/giraffe/zebra?"
"Beebee", "jraffe", "'ebra", she replies, factually confirming the obvious.
So I'm curious ...If your DD names her dollies/soft toys, did you teach her to do that? Did she learn it from other children? From TV? Did she do it spontaneiously?

DD has named her dolls since she was about 18 months but I suspect that was because she was prompted by other people, as in "that's a lovely baby, what's her name?" as her soft toys are just Cheer bear, polar bear pink rabbit etc.

The dolls are called Charlotte, Shark-Gazelle and maxine. Her friend has a cherished baby called Cauliflower....

Yes all of dd's soft toys and baby dolls have been named (by her). I'm amazed that she remembers them all (I don't)

Oh dear, yes, Dh has named the sock he always wear in his hand before going to sleep "Peepy". It came as a shock, I would have never expected a sock to develop a personality of its own. I don't even have a clue of where the name came from.

dd1 (almost 4) still doesn't really name her toys. Many have names which have been either given by, or prompted by, us or other people. However, she does have imaginary pets (dogs cats and mice) which have names like Pudda and Feefoo and that kind of thing which change all the time from animal to animal. dd2 (2) doesn't name anything yet either. Both give a bit of a blank look if someone asks what their toys are called.

No, dd , 3 , has Teddy, Dolly, Koala, Piggy, BabyBorn, Tiny Tears and various dollies aka Baby etc. The games they play are pretty imaginative though !
