Toddler tantrums when sitting down to eat

Im having a lot of trouble with my 1 year old and I really dread taking her anywhere. On Wednesday I'm hoping to have a quick meal with just me and her while I'm out doing errands but I'll be on my own and I'm scared Incase I can't cope (last time she pulled my hair)
Im wondering if anyone can give me any advice on the current problems I've been having with her.

She has recently been refusing to sit down and eat nice. We have a lot of problems with it, especially when eating out.
She is trying to teach herself to self feed so when I try to feed her she gets really annoyed and whacks the food out of my hand. If I give her the utensil she just bashes the food around and doesn't get a single bit of food in her mouth.

After a while she wants to get out of her high chair and walk around, she doesn't sit still at all and wants to eat on the go and as a result all of her food goes to waste. Especially at breakfast, she has about 3 spoons and wants to get down and blows on the spoon, I've tried every type of breakfast choice, from berries in overnight oats, baby museli, and even chocolate porridge (I know it's not health but it thought it would have been better than nothing)

I really am trying hard but all honesty I don't know what to do and every article I see it says to explain to her the does and don'ts, tell her that I understand and to be calm. She's 1, she doesn't even know what the word calm means!

Try baby led weaning so you give them foods they can pick up and eat like vegetable sticks (eg pieces of slightly cooked carrots or green beans), cooled chunks of meat etc. That way she can feed herself which is what she sounds like she wants.

For breakfast a few sticks of sliced toast
For lunch some pieces of roast chicken and vegetable sticks
For dinner some fish sticks and a corn cob she can pick up and gnaw on
Snacks: biscuits, halved grapes and cherry tomatoes, raw green beans, toast sticks

Things she can pick up and put in her mouth without needing a spoon

When she is better at utensils the food can be in smaller pieces and soft enough to easily stab but firm enough to not fall off a fork. Then give her a plastic fork and see if she uses it, copying you. Spoons are harder. If it is only occasionally you need to feed her with a spoon (like once a day for one of a few different foods in the meal) and it is something she really likes (yoghurt?) she might be happier to let you.

She is just exploring food. You're expecting too much IMO. Just clean up after her when she makes a mess and put her in a high chair and give her a toy to distract her if you're out. Mine is nearly 2.5 and I'm only just starting to really teach her table manners and expect her to stay at the table whilst we do tbh and she has something to play with whilst we eat out x
