I thought this didnt happen till they were about 7 but my dd who is 5 in 3 weeks came home tonight and said she thinks one of her bottom teeth is wobbly (not centre one but next one along), anywyay sure enough it is - she was hysterical at the thought but has calmed down now. I never thought anything else of it but my mil has made a comment to my dh of concern that perhaps its a bit early. She cut her first tooth at 6 months if this means anything. She brushes them twice a day and they look well, we dont eat sweets or drink fizzy pop but she is a thumb sucker. Am i being a worry head? We are a dentists on Monday for checkup anyway.

Text book is 6 but many seem to be losing them earlier

you guys, honestly, does it really matter that someone gets something spelled or grammatically wrong? Do you realise how stuck up you sound and how off putting it is to correct another adults writing? Would you prefer people didn't post who haven't your level of academia?

dd1 has just turned 5.5 and has already lost 5 teeth, including the top 2 incisors!

she tells me only one other yr 1 child has lost the top ones at school, out of 120 pupils she's v proud, as you can imagine . cost us a small fortune over thwe summer. she lost 4 teeth in 10 days!

ds1` is just turned 5 in august and hasn't lost any. None wobbly yet either. loads of his friends have though, but admittedly the older ones in the year group so 6 or nearly 6 - though that lost them before the summer.

ds1 is desperate to have a wobbly tooth

DS2 is 6y1m today, and lost his first bottom tooth today just after his late birthday party! Another boy, who is 7 in December, lost one of his top teeth at the party. There are some children who haven't lost any teeth yet and some who have lost 6 or more in that class.

DS2 has also got one molar in.

DS1's molars weren't fully through until he was 8.5, but he lost his first 2 milk teeth at exactly 6.

It goes on for years - my 11 year old has an adult tooth growing where the baby tooth hasn't vacated the space yet.

I have a cousin who is aged over 70 and still has 4 baby teeth.
