Is my son being raised by wolves?

Well...not quite wolves..........We have a part-time springer spaniel, and just recnetly DS (nearly 1 yr) and her have become fast chums.
now, springers are very fond of wandering around with toys/shoes/socks etc in their mouths for long periods(it's the breed),and i've noticed DS has started doing it too - he's never crawled on his knees - he's always been straight-legged, and it really looks like he's copying her
i've never seen any other kid do this - apart from a friend's son (nearly same age),and they also have a (full-time)springer.

My nephew did this - except it was a Border collie. He also wanted to eat out of a bowl on the floor and to sleep in a basket. He is now an amazingly well adjusted 15 year old who walks on two legs and very rarely barks!

aww bless him....When we bought our cat - it was 6 m old at the time - DD copied everything off the cat...eg pouring out her drinks on the tray and licking it up!!...she was 2.4 yrs old!!....i had to tell her to stop it.

dd is currently being brought up by 2 labradors. No matter what I do she still continues to see them as great role models. She rolls around on the floor with them, has learnt to 'hide' under the table, thinks nothing of scooping up water from their bowls to drink, and has (fortunately not for a while) eaten their dog food, and like a typical labrador adores water (so much so that she goes and sits in the dogs water trough at any available time).

Fortunately, at 17 months she seems to be outgrowing these 'doggy habits', her nose is pink and dry, she doesn't chase rabbits, and she can't say 'woof'.

Ha! Well,as long as DS doesn't start rolling around in rotting wildfowl while out on walks,i won't worry!
