The first thing to do is to remove the walker as it will delay his walking www.abc.net.au/science/articles/2002/06/25/589639.htm .
Every child follow a unique development. You can’ force them. One day he will walk unaided and unsupported. Just be patient.
How old is he?

not baby walker like a baby pusher and he's 17 months. my mistake but that's what i thought what they were called!

I see what you mean. But even with this kind of trolleys, the way the body is aligned is not natural, because his chest and shoulders are forward so he is not learning to walk but learning to push.

Even if not detrimental, I would hide it for a while, because your DS has no need to take his first steps because he can go where he wants using the "pusher" .
Put anything he can push (even big trucks) away for a week and let him practise with you. One day, when you less expect it, he will takes his steps to go and grab something.

I got my boy to walk by having him stand in front of a coffee table and placing his favourite toy on top. Then I would move back holding his hands and he'd walk a few steps forward. Each time, I would make the distances bigger and his confidence would grow. My boy struggled to put his foot down.

We ended up going to see a physiotherapists who gave a special boot. He must have just learnt to walk and stand that way due to comfort and weakness in one leg. Now he's amazing and no problem what so ever!
