Hes got tiny teeth - especially at the front and i try to do it a bit for him but he struggles really bad - he will happily suck on it and bite a bit but he needs to brush as he smiled at me yesterday and his teeth looked a bit yellow right at the top

We brush morning and night and he loves to do it!! But doesnt do it right - and i feel bad forcing his mouth whilst i do it IYKWIM

Any advice??

get them to spit quite soon after you start brushing, i find DD1 has to swallow so it doesnt drible out otherwise...

I cup my hands so that DS gets some water and gargles, he then spits it across the room.

Lemonaid, I am so glad that it's not just me. Cleaning teeth is sooooo important, to me anyway. I have 1 filling and I am 38. I have never needed any more.

Thanks. dd hasn't got the hang of spitting yet so I suppose her only option is to swallow the toothpaste. I'll try and get her to spit out after I first put the paste on her teeth, then rinse properly at the end.

until recently i ha real trouble getting DS to let me brush his teeth, then i devised th following game hih has been working for a couple of weeks so i'm sure it will stop being effective retty soon!!
His toothbrsuh has little characters on it and they are 'super heros' and go in to find the food he has eaten during they day. They brush around his teeth tryingtp guess what he has had and quite often get it wrong ie sausages for breakfast - cue loads of laughter and much brushing gets done.

I tried various tricks and games today but
dd looked quite perplexed and was resolute
in keeping control over the brush.

Might have to try UCM's techniqu.
