Anyone had this experience?

My DS is 21 months. He has been pulling himself to stand for about 2 months now.
He crawled but mostly bottom scooting from 12 months. He's a big bub! 98% percentile height, weight.

When he pulls to stand he cannot put his right foot flat down so it causes him to rise onto tip toes.

When he gets back down this right foot will sort of tuck under. I've taken him to a GP who said he may have some muscle issues but has ruled out CP and autism conditions.

He suggested physiotherapist and see what they say. In the meantime keep him in ankle toddler type boots and get him to play at a table that doesn't make him reach up high for tip toes.

I'm so worried. His right ankle is tight and isn't loose like the left.

Anyone had any experience in this? Thanks mums.

I feel your pain. I heard from one of my friends about quite similar situation. She had a baby girl, right ankle tight, left is loose. She told me that they tried physiotherapist, massages, and practiced standing&walking from time to time. At last, it turned out as muscle issues... I don't know if it helps, but stay strong!

@Ziamahi
What do you mean muscle issues?

Did she eventually walk ok?

As she explained to me, it is not even muscles, but sinew problems of some kind. She is through the therapy now, so the result isn't clear yet. But, she already shows signs of improvement. I might meet with my friend this week. If she feels ok to speak about this, I'll try to ask more.
