Should I be concerned that due to the fact my baby has only ever met 2 people and been held by 2 people in her 5 weeks of life that this may affect her socially later in life or even after lockdown will it mean she will not like going to others if this makes any sense

Something Ive also worried about, my DS2 turns 8 weeks on Monday. Who knows!? All we can do is provide them as much interaction as possible as their parents until the day comes that they are able to meet others. I’d imagine initially they will quite possibly be freaked out by others who smell totally different let alone look/ sound different.

My baby had people all around him as newborn. Yet despite all this, from 4-6 months (we isolated earlier) he has seen nobody and cried when the postman said hello at the door! At that age, baby needs you and only you. I think it's worse when they're older.

All your newborn needs is responsive care from you. Babies who develop deep, secure bonds with their primary carers then find it easier to separate from them and build other relationships as they mature. She is getting exactly what she needs and will be absolutely fine.

I was going to say, despite the fact lockdown is stressful and you obviously get not help, you will be creating the perfect bond with your baby.
