DD has a friend called Ton!

Before we went on holiday he had a loads of other friends as well, the names of who i can't recall.

But now it's Ton and all her cousins who she's just met for the first time.

Tried to think if it's a sound-a-like to anyone, but can't think of one.

Well, mine has an imaginary place.

"Let's go to Lasco's" he says, with gusto, at every opportunity.

Apparently, it's somewhere down the hill.

Anchie, Trancher, Frenchy-Penchy.

Desiderata · 13/09/2007 22:31

Weird.

If they were adults, they'd all be locked up

feetheart · 13/09/2007 22:32

DD has had 'Babbies-a-babbies' for about 2 years now (DD is 4.7 as is her friend!) It used to be what DD said when she couldn't remember a word but then somehow changed into an imaginary friend. She still pops up occasionally and I was informed last week that she was living in a 'tiny house in our front garden', bit of a change from either Wales or Scotland where she has lived before

WendyWeber · 13/09/2007 22:35

DD1 and DD2 had alter egos called Lindsay and Francesa (sic). They used to have babies together, and run celebrity hair salons, and even today (at 25 & 22) they still have Lindsay & Francesa moments

Before that, DD1's imaginary friend was called Gribby (and had 7 nameless friends)

Is it only 1st children who have imaginaries?

DeedeePickles · 13/09/2007 22:39

Flavour and George. They are also very versatile and can be babies or teenagers. They live in a pink cottage and get up to all sorts of capers, but their visits are diminishing as DD gets older. DD is first-born and was only child for four years... I think this makes a difference.

We had Fred, Daphne, Wilma, Shaggy and Scooby. All at the same time. I used to have to set the table for them and ask what they wanted for dinner. They went to nursery too. Teacher said they were well behaved!

(Daphne got blamed for DS having a stiffie one morning too - he was 4!!!))

DD1 has Cardiff, a lovely girl who has been around nearly 4 years now. She also has Spitty and Steppy, her naughty brothers, and for a while there was Shitty, but luckily he went away! Cardiff lives in a caravan with her grandparents and has silver boots. Her last holiday was to another planet, and every so often she appears in our car, and I have to open the window to let her back out.
DD2 has Charlie and Lola. They race each other up the garden path and that's about it.

imaginaryfriend · 13/09/2007 22:49

I took this MN name because of my dd's huge list of imaginary friends.

Currently she meets up with Professor Bunghi (an Indian professor), Wobble Knickers (a girl of unknown nationality who speaks a weird language), Nrs. Nesbitt (a crocodile), Edda-mum (large bossy lady) and Bundle Bodkin (a kind of tree elf who's always in trouble).

imaginaryfriend · 13/09/2007 22:53

Rach, with your 'shitty' you just reminded me of when dd had an imaginary friend rabbit called 'Tosser'.

Threadworm · 13/09/2007 22:53

My ds2 had every single Cheesestring he had ever eaten and 100 ghosts living in his body and using it as a playground and getting up to japes.

Now you will all hate me for letting him eat Cheesestrings.

DD has Doggers. Minxy little beasts. Now she's 8 they only reappear in letters to her former nanny (who also had her own doggers ... a hundred each!), or on beaches where the Dogger Knights help defend the castle against the incoming tide. Those of them that can swim, anyway.

The Doggers, of course, have People-ers.

My niece had a Mrs Barleymoosh. My DD has an imaginary hamster and an imaginary baby brother, they don't have names.

kbaby · 15/09/2007 22:17

DD has Casey Lee shes always around and plays with DD quite a bit, even gets blaimed for hitting DS and gets put on the naughty step and pushes our trolley round ASDA!

cruisemum1 · 15/09/2007 22:26

Rachmumoftwo - that's brilliant! What a creative dd you have
my lo's don't have imaginary friends but I used to and he was called 'Bouncy Charlie' . I used to drive my sister and brother bonkers apparently, as I used to witter on to him constantly during long car journeys. Don't know when I 'lost' him. But I still remember him now !

fireflyfairy2 · 15/09/2007 22:29

DD had 2.

One was called sigga & the other was called mitey.

I have spelt them phonetically, as I really have no clue how you spell them!

Funny how they disappeared when we moved house & had ds

BandofMothers · 15/09/2007 22:30

DD1 has a horse named Harvey. She has to hold his bridle when we go out the house, and gets very upset if she forgets and lets go and he wanders off in case he gets lost.

cruisemum1 · 15/09/2007 22:31

oh and my brother had a couple of them called Cecil and Pencil

fireflyfairy2 · 15/09/2007 22:32

I used to have to put sigga's seat belt on in the car & hold his hand when we went shopping....

amateurmum · 15/09/2007 22:34

Sissie and Humbalumps
Sissie is dds naughty alter ego.

pinkdolly · 16/09/2007 04:56

LieselVentouse · 16/09/2007 05:54
