Hi,
Any advice and reassurance is appreciated, this is a hard post for me to write and im very anxious.
I am worried about my 10m old development but dont know if im just being paranoid. I find myself constantly assesing his behaviours since the lockdown! Not being able to go to baby groups to compare to others, not able to see health visitor etc,
I have listed below the things he is and is not doing. Can you let me know if you think i am worrying too much? (He turns 11 months tomorrow)

The good:
He smiles and laughs
He waves bye bye (when he wants to!)
He understands 'no'
He claps his hands
He can bang 2 objects together
Crawls, pulls self to standing and beginning to cruise
Babbling but infrequently, doesnt seem to imitate my sounds, lots of dadadada
Feeds himself finger foods
Puts his dummy in my mouth (finds it funny)
Amazing eye contact and smiles when i sing to him
Will crawl to me and pull himself up on my leg

The concerns:
Doesnt respond to name (only has done a few times, could be co incidence)
Doesnt seem bothered if i leave the room (although i have only tried at home- he might feel too secure to care ?)
Not much eye contact when feeding in high chair, or while playing - will focus on toy...
No pointing
Doesnt give me things
Doesnt seem copy my facial expressions

I know all babies develop at different times but i would just like some advice at this hard time please. My niece was recently diagnosed with autism so it makes me worry a little more. He is loved no matter what.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read and reply !

He is still so young. I understand your concerns about autism, when your niece was diagnosed recently. He sounds completely normal to me. Try not to analyze everything too much - it will ruin your bond to him eventually. Just enjoy your lovely boy :-)

He sounds fine Smile My DS didn’t start giving me things until he was about 12 months and didn’t point until 16 months. He’s 21 months now and I have no concerns about him.

I really wouldn't worry. Mine is 10 months old (11 months in a week) and is doing almost the same as your lo. It's so hard not to worry especially when you can't go out and see anyone. Just trust you're doing a great job and they are happy xx
