Covid 19 - Wfh with hyperactive kids

Our work has now told us to wfh except for critical meetings and the gov have obviously announced school and nursery closures too. My husband started showing C19 symptoms last night so that means 14 day self isolate for the family too.

Our 3 and 5 year old were previously looked after - we adopted them Oct 2018. They're always on the go, verbally physically and emotionally. Love them too bits obvs, but my DH and I being able to get even half a days work done between us will be a stretch.

I don't want to hypnotise the children endlessly with TV, I'll need to get creative as obv can't leave them with anybody. Any clues? I heard schools likely to be off now till September. Lots of opportunities to bond, but also Confused

A silver lining is that because I work across the county in schools, which are closing, there will be less work to do as staff clearly won't be there. As yet no announcement from my work as to what that means in terms of the work they're expecting us to do.

My oldest doesn't have an EHCP, but I have spoken to the school about an ed psych assessment. Not sure whether she would qualify for the odd day in school they're proposing for these children.

Be interested in your tips, plans and advice for this period.

We're in a similar situation. My 23MO and I are isolating as feverish and coughs but after that I will likely need to carry on working as I'm a keyworker and hubby is going to have to try and amuse LO for 3 days a week whilst WFH. It's going to be a nightmare. All I can say is do your best. I've ordered a couple more outdoor toys etc in preparation and we're just trying to muddle on. If they need to watch a bit of TV to keep you all sane then sobeit. It won't be forever. At least you have that luxury. Mine really isn't very interested in TV Confused .... godspeed everyone xx
