18 month old dummy

My LG is currently obsessed with her dummy.
She’s not really at the age, I can practically reason with her and even when I hide them
She goes on a hunt crying for them.
Its almost impossible to distract her and even when I can she’s just back searching in half an hour (goes in pockets, under the couch the lot) I feel like she’s constantly got one in her mouth.
Any tips and tricks on how I can limit day time use as she still uses them for bedtime and nap time.

Cold turkey I’m afraid. My DS (nearly 3yrs) is very reliant on his dummy and my DH and I made the decision to take it away completely in the daytime and let him know that it’s just for naps and bedtime. He is under investigation for autism so almost non verbal and has less understanding than the average almost 3 yr old but we explain that he doesn’t have it in the daytime and he’s a big boy now.

I appreciate your DD is much younger but honestly I wish we’d taken my son’s dummy away so much earlier.

When my DNephew was about 1yr, DSis just put them all in the bin and rode out a few days of tantrums. She's got balls of steel though.
