well lots of toys have plastic mirrors on them - whoozit range has a good mirror - i will try to find a picture
you can use your own propped up providing you are supervising

RubySlippers · 03/09/2007 08:09

here it is

juuule · 03/09/2007 08:11

Carry him around and let him watch whatever you are doing?

RubySlippers · 03/09/2007 08:12

juuule - yes!
carrying DS in a sling or putting him in his chair whilst i was cooking or pottering about was something he enjoyed doing

bubbsy · 03/09/2007 08:16

Thanks Ruby, i do put him in his chair for him to watch me but again after 10 mins he screams to get out and have tried the carrying him around in baby carrier but it kills my back

how about:
trips to the supermarket
walk in the buggy to the local park
mother and baby group
swimming
library

juuule · 03/09/2007 08:19

Maybe try a different style of carrier? or just hold in one arm? can be a bit tricky but you get used to it.

bubbsy · 03/09/2007 08:20

I hate to admit this but mine was fascinated by the washing machine and could watch the washing going round for ages

Anna8888 · 03/09/2007 08:45

My daughter used to love watching me ironing at that age. I put her in her bouncy chair (the Baby Bjorn) on the double bed with the ironing board at the end so we could see each other and she was at the level of the clothes

fluffyanimal · 03/09/2007 10:56

Are you sure he is bored and not overstimulated? Too much activity can upset / unsettle a child too at that age.
