2 month old wriggler

Hi,

Gorgeous DS is 2 months old today, and very, very active compared to all the other babies I know of the same age.

Wriggling, kicking, arms going and looking around intently whenever he's awake. Often only happy when bearing weight in legs and bouncing whilst being held under armpits. He was super active in the womb and had been since birth, but I'm worried this amount of wriggling means there's something uncomfortable going on inside his little body.

He will rarely sleep still unless swaddled in a gro-snug or sling on me, so is also creating real challenges with getting him to sleep independently as he sleep-wriggles himself awake.
Anyone else have similar challenges and ideas on whether this is something to be concerned about?

Thank you!

My son was the same! He’s still super active but in a thoughtful way - not chaotically running around etc. Nothing to worry about. Some babies are just wired that way. They are stimulated and excited by their environments. Tends to go hand and hand with poor sleep in my experience. As long as he’s not distressed I wouldn’t worry.

I’ve been told it is a sign of intelligence but not sure how true that is :) It is exhausting though so you have my sympathies.

My dd was only ever happy stood up or with weight on her legs. She sooo badly wanted to walk at like 6 months haha
She was a horrible sleeper until she was a year old too.
Also very ahead when it comes to intellect so maybe something to it? Because she sure didn't get it from me!
I wouldn't worry, some are just super active and alert.
My second is so chill I'm not quite sure what to do with her!
