Hi all I am lucky and dont have many problems with my dd's mainly this................
I have 2 dd's of 2yrs and 10wks my dd1 is very independant and happily plays on her own, never cried once when I left her at childminders or with relatives etc.....outgoing with great speach and communication (sounds great so far doesnt it..lol) BUT..........I seem to find going out a total nightmare if I let her walk she refuses to hold my hand and goes in a different direction to where I want to be going...I have tried reigns fine for a bit then when she decides she wants to go somewhere else she pulls and lunges and ends up in a tangle on the floor...........she has managed to escape 2 types of wrist strap............I have a double buggy but gets bored in it after a while and leans forward/to the side, screams, wriggles, tries to stand up, etc etc etc...........the same thing when in a supermarket trolley ( have lots of tuts from childless people)
I am begining to dread going out to the shops but its not fair on her as she loves going out.
Advice needed please as I currently have to resort to bribery on the few trips I have dared make recently.

Have you thought about a buggy board? Ds1 was quite taken with his (I have a similar age gap between my 2), though not every child likes them. I had a test-drive using someone else's when I was still pg - in the end I also got a different buggy (MacLaren Techno) as it had pockets in the back etc so he could have a drink or snack whilst we were out.

Also nothing wrong with bribery in this house. We call it "rewarding good behaviour".
