When asked to do something ds usually replies, in a minute or not now.
He's learned it from dh - who I have noticed always says it to ds when HE asks for something. So I try and over compensate by dropping whatever I'm doing to sort out whatever he wants -in the hope that this will rub off on ds.
But how can I find a middle ground. Surely if I'm putting dinner out - I can't stop to sort out a magazine. But then can I expect ds to get his pj's on while he's playing with cars?

It drives me mad when my kids do this. I always say to them that they have to do what they are told when they are told. You are the adult, you say what goes!
