am I the only one who has a very very high needs, fussy baby? Because I feel like I am, and I feel like I am only so far off being put in a straight jacket! I go out and see babies in pushchairs all happy and calm or fast asleep, it breaks my heart and I have to go back home.

My son is 23 weeks old. He has been a very fussy, needy baby since day one. He does has intolerances however is on prescription milk and expressed breast milk with a dairy free diet, also silent reflux which he is medicated for. His feeding is a nightmare, he still eats every 2-3 hours, taking the odd ounce, tried going longer, still only takes the odd ounce, but my breast milk, he will devour!

He whinges all day, putting him down he hates, tried doing it for longer to get him used to it - nope, no improvement. He hates the pushchair, car seat, sling, play gym, jumparoo, just wants to be held. Well, my poor back has given in, hence seeking advice.

He literally screams for ages when you try get him to sleep. Oh yes he is over tired, however, I try everything, I make sure he is never awake for more than 2 hours, night time we have a routine, dark room, white noise, he doesn’t fall asleep on the bottle, I don’t talk to him etc etc. No luck. He also wakes at 4:30/5am every single day.
I did try some gentler sleep approaches, down when drowsy and going in and checking on him, and worked some what, however now when put down drowsy he starts to roll and then screams when on his front as he can’t roll back, so how can I surely sleep train when this is occurring?

I’m looking for some advice on the above issues I suppose, but also, am I the only one with a baby like this? It sure feels like it
