Can't cope with 5 year old

I am struggling so badly right now and usually I dont at all. My 5 yo has become a monster. She says she is going to kill me, punch me in the face, she tells me to get out of "her house", she beats and bullies her younger sister and brother and hits me. She is always screaming and shouting and stealing money from my purse and anyone that visits our house. She doesn't listen at all, she just tells me to shut up and calls me a fat pig. I don't know what to do anymore, please help 😢

A 5 year old doesn't come up with stuff like that by herself. I'd start with figuring out where she learns all these things.

Unfortunately there are other members in the family that have taught her this behaviour, her uncle who is 10 and her cousin. I have tried to distance us as much as possible however I have to look after my brother for my mum at times and this is when it happens. I'm hoping I can do something to turn it all around for her, I have also told my mum I can no longer help her with childcare.

Children that act out like this can be showing you that they're stressed or unhappy in some way. You say you look after young family members who behave this way. Could it be that they're actually making her feel scared or stressed in some way? Please keep talking to her, promise you will keep her safe no matter what and take steps to get yourselves away from these influences.

Yes absolutely I will do. Also she has been having a hard time at school with a few issues regarding bullying towards her. I have spoken to her head teacher and she has promised me she will take steps to make things better for my daughter when she returns in September. I always sit her down and ask if there's anything on her mind and I ask how I can help her but lately she has told me she doesn't want to talk :(

Bless you, this sounds very tough for you both. In calmer moments could you try telling her stories about some of the things she's going through and see if she'll discuss that? EG I once knew a little boy who's about your age. He felt as sad because other children were mean to him ........

Children who find it hard to talk about their own feelings can find it easier to project onto a fictional person in the same situation.
