Losing friends due to childs behaviour

Hi

My eldest son has been referred by school for asd diagnosis.
Recently he had a few run ins with one of his best friends (i've been really good friends with the mum since the boys started school 5 years ago).
Now she knows the situation with regards to my son finding it hard to communicate, however she hasnt spoken to me since the incident at the school (her boy kept laughing at my boy and calling him stupid so he went to strangle her boy).
Ultimately when this was happening my boy was having a meltdown and was a sign he wasn't coping in the playground. After these kinds of incidents he feels awful about himself and it really is heartbreaking - the next day he made his friend a card to say sorry and they hugged it out in school.
But shes completely ignoring us still?

After the incident at school she posted on her facebook about parenting skills and referred to my son as "jack the ripper" "ted bundy" & "norman bates".

Now i know that I no longer want this woman in our lives anyway, but its just so hard my son has lost his friend who he would have playdates with every week.

I guess im just looking for someone to say its all gonna be okay?

The boys are 9 so i totally see her point with the aggression but he never actually hurt him it was to get him to stop after asking him multiple times over the space of a week!

So what is it you want to achieve? Is he playing with your DS at school? Do you really want your DS spending time with someone who thinks of him in this way and shows a total lack of empathy?

Ooh this is so hard. I have a son with asd so I can completely feel your pain. At least your shot of this woman now. I know it’s sad for your son potentially losing s friend but if her son takes after his mother it’s probably somebody your son wants to avoid.
Hugs 🤗
