Day to day activities with an 8 week old

Hi what should I be doing on a daily basis with my 8 week old?

We go to three/four classes each week but I'm worrying not doing enough at home.

When she's not sleeping I have a play mat to get her used to being on her back ( she hates it) or I put her in her swing with music on but again she hates being put down and cries for the first ten mins

I talk and sing to her but essentially she just wants booby and then falls asleep on me.

Just after some advice or examples of an 8 week olds daily activity

Thanks in advance

Is holding her while I watch Netflix an activity? Because that's mostly what I did.
There's no need to overthink it. At 8 weeks they just want to be in your arms and the most interesting thing to look at is your face. Carry on talking and singing to her and don't worry.

Thank you for the reassurance x

I'm not sure my first realised we were 2 separate people until they were a bit older. Enjoy the feeding and the cuddles Smile

Going to 3 or 4 classes at 8 weeks is AMAZING. Go you! Stop overthinking it.

What exactly is the baby doing at 3-4 classes week? Eyes open fully stimulated by surroundings? Or asleep?

3-4 classes a week would be too much for my 5 year old so God knows how an 8 week old would cope

I go to 5 classes a week! But 4 of them are fitness classes for me, in which my baby just watches and/or plays with toys on the mat. The only one I do specifically for him is baby music once a week. I think he's getting used to it; each class is after his morning nap so it has become a part of his routine, and then he's tired for his lunchtime nap.

I should add he's 5 months old.

One is sensory play, one is swimming, one is a breast feeding support group and one is a music group. They are only 30/45/1hr long it's stimulating her when she's awake at home I was asking if I should be doing anything in particular. She gets plenty of cuddles and naps
