I never intended us to be all in one room forever like 14th century peasants, but baby is now 14 months old and is still in with us. I followed the advice which said have the baby in with you until three months, but he was such a diabolical sleeper that it just dragged on and on - his own room is on a different floor because our house is tall and thin - and neither of us fancied running up and down stairs a million times a night. It was just easier to have him next to us while he was breastfeeding. Now he's sleeping through though it took nearly a year to get to that stage. In the morning he wakes up and sees us and smiles and we bung him in bed with us for a cuddle. It's really nice and husband and I have decided we don't mind him being in with us - apart from the total lack of privacy of course, which puts constraints on certain things!!! Does anyone else share a room with a baby this age or older, or have we gone completely the wrong way about this? Should we move him?
