Awww, I am sure, despite suspecting it, it still is a shock when it is sort of comfirmed.
I am sure someone with more knowledge will come soon, or maybe you could also post on the SN forum part of this site.
Sending you some (((((hugs)))) though.

Awww, that is only a natural reaction, I mean, we all want our children to be completely healthy, and don't want that they have to lead a life harder than necessary. But I am sure once you got your head around it all and it sunk in you will cope fine.
Any idea to which sort of degree she is affected, or might be affected?

Hi ladies,thanks for replies.

Have been quite tearful all afternoon but think will be better after good nights sleep.I have not been sleeping much with worry the last week,as in my heart I knew that dd was not "right"

Anniemac dd is 19 months old.thanks for link.

3anm she cannot stand unsupported, her legs go very stiff when stood up.Her speech is very poor. She drools quite a lot .She can bumshuffle very proficiently though. She sometimes chokes on her food. She managed tos it herself up using back/abdo muscles.Lately she has taken to doing odd facial gurns ands grimaces.Sometimes she hold her hands in tight fists and sometimes they flap about seemingly uncontrollably

She seems all there socially and enjoys a good laugh at her db.She loves music and stories, and is a very sociable happy little girl.

hv to do SN assessment on monday and then get paediatric referral.

Wrinklytum, by no means am I an expert, but, as a mother of 3, I would think things sound, wihtin the situation, good....!
I know it's no consolation, but my non sn youngest son was 18 month when he attempted his first steps , and it took him a fair few more month to actually wak properly, and speech devellopement is really just gotten better, he is almost 3....like I said, I know it's not the same, but there are so many different levels of how effected a child is, your dd sounds like it's not that extreme ( I really hope I am not offending you, because I know there is nothing worse then someone trying to make light of a situation you feel really bad about....and sorry if I haven't chosen the right words!)
