Third child but never had a dummy before. He's 6 months and at the moment he's in the next to me crib, often holds my hand and i must put his dummy in if he stirs numerous times a night. I think he needs his own room and a bigger and comfier bed. If he wakes crying for dummy, should i put it in or use this to wean him off it? Or should i do this for a while in the next to me? He sleeps well so annoying have to move him snd no doubt get no sleep. Anyone got any suggestions?

I’m not sure which one would be the best option. Do you think a glow in the dark dummy would work? Smile

I used to just go in.

Only happened for about a week then she learnt to find it herself

Try a sleepytot bunny - it has Velcro paws for 4 dummies to be attached. DD never woke in the night again! She goes in her cot with two of them (so 8 dummies) and loves them.

PS I wouldn’t move him until you won’t need to go in - but I’m lazy and wouldn’t want to be up and down all night!

I second the sleepytot suggestion, my boys had 2 and I put on on each side of them when I put them in their cot. One was a bit quicker at finding it himself but it helped both, and now the sleeptot works as s comforter even without the dummies on.
