Did Peppa Pig turn your child feral?

Currently on episode 4 of the morning. I remember reading about psychologists warning that Peppa is a bad role model for toddlers and can cause children to mimic her naughty behaviour.

However, the behaviour that is quoted seems to me to be normal toddler stuff. Sticking out tongue when angry, screaming 'I DON'T WANT TO PLAY ANYMORE', stamping feet etc...

What do you think? Does anyone now have rebellious moody adolescent that they feel they can trace back to the little piggy bastard?

No but I often have moments when I think my toddler is a comedy genius and it turns out to be something he picked up from there.

'It tastes like socks' is one example off the top of my head. I don't have a problem with it to be honest. I think there are worse things they could watch.

No, not at all. I don't think PP models spectacularly bad behaviour really anyway. I do think people can get a bit carried away. Ds now watches and reads Horrid Henry, that doesn't affect his behaviour either because he knows it's not real.

Well, even if DC did mimic PP (and I've never noticed them doing so) then it's hardly difficult stuff to handle is it? Bit of stomping/tongue pulling...

I have a 3 & 6 year old and we've watched Peppa Pig for years. I think blaming the show is nonsense. Even if the character does have some age-appropriate cheekiness, it's mild and often addressed in the episode.

Absolutely. I hate Peppa. Spoilt brat. It was banned in our house for 5 years. I recently let standards slip as I had 3 under 5s but after watching Peppa the 3 year old came out with stuff like 'Now I'm never playing with you ever again'.
Foot stomping, tongue sticking out is bad behaviour and not desirable as a model.
Peppa is banned in our house again.
