My ds did fleetingly say it at about 1 but then i never heard it again until he was about 19mths. Now he's 21mths he will say Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaam, or now he has even started saying Emmmmmmmmmm (cheeky monkey).

Ds calls me 'Nana' which is worrying. I thought I could hold off being a grandmother for a few more years. Its actually similar to what dh calls me as a nickname, so maybe thats it... My mother got ever so excited though, thinking he was talking to her!!

Hercules,dd has never blown raspberries either & I don't think shes ever stuck her tongue out.She was One last Sunday & has only just started to point at things, but does it with her hand open.

Your dd sounds as though she is streets ahead of mine with regard to walking,my dd is still loping around on all fours.

I remember being worried after dd's 7 month check,as she wasn't babbling, but she was busy trying to crawl at the time & was putting all her energies into moving around, rather than making noises.

I don't think that you have anything to worry about at all.

Ds said 'da da' at 8 months but had to wait another month to get his version of mummy (mum-mum with lots of mmmm sounds). Bless him, was clearly struggling to get the m sound (think the books say is harder than da) as I kept catching him making the right lip movement but not getting much sound out...
Still says about three times as many 'dadas' as 'mum-mums' which can be a little frustrating.
Hercules, don't think you need to worry - at just under 14 months ds has only few words that he says regularly, as opposed to one-offs. And he's not noticeably behind the other babies at nursery.

Hercules -- I'm always amazed at people's kids who say 'mama' and mean it as mummy, so young. My 2 didn't say it until 20-22 months. DS didn't point until he was almost 1yo, either.
Now DS is nearly 5yo, & you can't shut him up!

With DS1 it was sometime just before 2 - daddy was about 18 months. With my twins they are now 19 months and are currently using daddy for both of us. All three used the sounds mamamama and daadadada from about 9 months but it was just a sound. I am glad mine aren't the only ones to do daddy first - I was beginning to get paranoid
