My 3 yr old goes through phases of weeing and weeing and I wondered if anybody else has this? Today she had 4 weeing accidents before 11am at nursery.
Another time she drank a whole bottle of water and then had a very upset tummy.
Any advice?

has she had lots of sugar?

No - breakfast this morning toast and egg. No sugar at all. Am worried it is diabetes?

But this has been happening on and off for a while now.

I've just re-joined Mumsnet just to post this message for you because I don't want anyone to go through what I went through with my 7-year-old last May if it can be avoided! With any luck, this is just a urinary tract infection, but if it is diabetes, it needs identifying before your daughter becomes critically ill. I really don't want to alarm you, but if this has continued, take your daughter to the doctor on Monday - insist on an emergency appointment. This could be the onset of ketoacidosis (symptomatic of diabetes). She does not need to have OD'd on "recognisable" sugar for it to become an issue: carbohydrates (there are 18-20g carb in once slice of wholemeal bread) are sugars that have to be managed in diabetes and will cause a rise in blood sugars.

My daughter had been drinking and weeing excessively for nearly two weeks with no sign of illness until the two-week mark; I was celebrating the fact that she was drinking more and put the weeing down to her body getting used to the increased fluid ... She fell critically ill and was immediately diagnosed with diabetes. So, please get medical advice soon! I hope all is OK for your d, but diabetes is manageable.
