Looking for advice from any mums who have managed to get the day nap schedule nailed!!!

So far...with my 14 week old (breastfed) our sleep schedule is like this...

Bedtime between 6.30pm and 7.30pm (never any later than 7.30)
Sleeps till 12.30/1am feed, down 1.30ish
##waking for second feed anytime between 4am and 5am, sometimes 5.30, sometimes not at all...
Awake for the day between 6am and 7am, will stay in crib and babble linger...

Day nap 1 is usually between 8.30 and 9am, feed to sleep on my lap usually! Occasionally able to transfer to cot and sleeps for 30 mins

Day nap2 - rare this happens - between 11.30 to 12.30... again on my lap

Day nap 3 between 3 and 4pm - nap on lap but very short...

From 6pm, begin bedtime routine - feed, pj's etc

Any help, tips. I can't get bubs to sleep in cot during day. Majority of naps on my lap! Can't get a lot done in day,

Thanks mums!

Have you tried putting LO in a Moses basket and using a tshirt DH has worn as the mattress? That way the Moses Basket will smell reassuring.

My DN would only nap if she was swaddled, so that might be worth a try too.

I see this was more than a month ago so you might be sorted now but omg a fortnight ago I could have written tbe same thing about my 10 week old! Lack of day naps was hellish for me and if I didn't let him sleep at the breast he would be cranky all day long through overtiredness. But last weekend I read a book called the Blissful Baby expert and the section on sleep really helped. I don't agree with everything she says but the shush pat technique and the use of dummy (take it out when drowsy) worked magically well. My 10 week old k ow has 4 naps a day, and 2 or 3 are in his crib. I tend to nap him in the pram, car or sling once a day too. He has transformed into a happy little boy and I no longer spend a portion of each day crying because he's crying and because I can't do anything:) seriously worth looking into if you're still struggling. Good luck!!
