Vicious toddler - any advice?

He's been like this since he was 4-6 months, pinching and deliberately slapping people in their face - particularly people with glasses knocking them off.

It's not a motor problem, can line up cars perfectly without an issue. Doesn't do well with duplo, can put the bricks together but prefers throwing them everywhere.

"No" doesn't seem to be working, I've heard the "its a stage he'll grow out of it" - but at two years old, its now turned into biting too!

None of the other children who are older have ever been like this.

Have a read of this on biting and hitting OP.

Do you think it’s more than a stage? Have you got any other concerns?

Thank you for your advice, I found it helpful :)

I have observed toy throwing is when my toddler seems to be tiring out. Doesn't take well to naps, trying to get my toddler to lie down for a nap is a nightmare. Any advice for that?

My toddler sometimes scratches older siblings' faces when they carry to the car or tell off for doing something naughty while I'm trying to make dinner or sort the laundry.

If he’s playing up while you do laundry, can he help you by putting clothes in or taking them out of the washing machine. Can he pair up socks by trying to match colours?

If you are cooking, can you put him in the high chair and give him something to do, like play doh or edible paints?

If naps are a problem try the No Cry Nap Solution.

Just to rule out ASD, it might be worth doing the M-Chat test.
