It’s been a while since mine were that age. Are you having problems OP?

loveskaka · 11/10/2018 12:37

Yeah, he's wide awake at 1/2am for 2 hours most nights. I am trying my best not to take him in my bed x

Has that been going on for a while or do you think it could be the 9 month sleep regression?

Do you think LO could be hungry thirsty or cold?

I think it may be the 9month sleep regression, he's is nearly walking, definitely more vocal, starting to show lots of affection etc so I do think he's going through a big development stage. I need to try sort it though as I am due back to work in 2 weeks and start at 6am! Can't be sitting up from 2am to 4am when I am up at 5am. Really dnt want to bring him into bed either 😩

Mine is 11months this week and sleeps 11-12hours overnight and 3-4 hours during the day over 2 naps.

Pp that's amazing! How did you manage that, my ds has been getting up that last 2 weeks between 1am and 4am for 2hours. I just sit in his room and cuddle him for a bit then put him back in his cot, but I need to do This a good few times before he's stays. He then gets up at 6:30am then goes back to sleep for 2hours at 8am ish. I just want him to stop this 2 hour stunt as I am due back to work next week! Confused.

No idea sorry, I haven't used any techniques to speak of. One thing that I do find helps is to try calming in the cot if possible (not always the case I know...), by rubbing his back which makes it easier as you don't need to move them back to bed once asleep. Or do in 2 stages - e.g. cuddle while rubbing back, slowly put in cot and continue rubbing back and shushing if you do that, then once that's all good trying to make an exit.
