Rude 7yos

I have just started a shared drop of arrangement for dd1 and two friends to do an activity together. It's about 20 mins walk each way. They were lovely on the way there but on the way back all three were cheeky and ungovernable. Whining about snacks and making sullen faces when I said no we were about to have tea, saying "you're not in charge of me" when I told them to climb down off stuff and saying "I can't wait for next week when X's mummy takes us, she's way nicer than you" when I told them off for running into someone's garden. How to manage this sort of behaviour? Dd1 has lost screen time for her part in it and I have told her if I get reports of her behaving like that with other adults she is not going on any playdates, but she was no better or worse than the others.

That is quite rude. I wouldn’t say anything unless the parents asked and then I’d make it clear that it was all of them.

Yes it's more how do I make sure I have authority over them when I'm in charge?

Yes it's more how do I make sure I have authority over them when I'm in charge?. Well, ask them to do something like not go into a garden and if they say anything just smile and say I’m not here to be your friend, im here to make sure you behave and change the subject. Try to think of some things that might keep their minds occupied while yiu walk too. Things like I-spy, looking for painted rocks, giving them a letter and asking them to make up silly words beginning with that letter.
