Raspberry blowing / spitting

How long does it last!

how old? tbh I wouldn't do either, I would be playing it along with them, blowing raspberries on their tummy and neck. If it is food/drink related then I would ignore.

It is a natural part of development. Do it back and have a giggle unless it is done with rude intent or with food/drink in the mouth.

My dd does this when she cannot have her own way. I've told her it is rude and she is not to do it, which normally results in her ... blowing raspberries at me!

I'm at a loss really. Especially as Peppa Pig and little brother George do it frequently, much to Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig's amusement.

She is 3.5 btw.

3.5 is probably a different matter, I was assuming this was a baby. The 3.5 I would ignore - hopefully when it stops getting a reaction it will stop be as interesting to her.

DS 4.2 and is doing this all the time, particularly when he can't have his own way or over excited.
I am ignoring it except when it is in someone's face or at meal times where it is 'three strikes and you're out' or rather after the third reminder, that's the end of your meal. I only had to enforce once. Since he only forgets the rule every 10 minutes or so, which means the meal is usually over by the time he has a chance to blow three raspberries.

3.5, boy, all the time even in the park at little children he does not know and ones he does, at me . at partner everything, with food without. Mums look at me in horror and other kids scream at him or there mum saying what a nasty boy he is.

Believe me peppa pig has a lot to answer for

DS has never heard of Peppa Pig but managed to find the fun in raspberries. I'm not sure I really know what PP is. Vague idea it's a character from a book?

Do they really have such an award! Actually I feel like blowing them sometimes but somehow having them blown all over my cooking is worse than the kids not eating the meal!

Spitting is truely disgusting. Had to put a stop to that in my 3.5 yr old- a favourite toy getting locked away for a few hours did the trick.
Rasberry blowing - harder to call - context dependent! My mother in law still does it...but it doesn't mean it's right!

DD used to do both all the time - I just ignored and now she spits very VERY rarely and blows raspberries almost as rarely.
