dd is only 22 months but is a size 8.5 E (clarks) startrite d fit, very narrow, mainly due to tiny heels. anyone suggest retailers other than clarks / startrite that can provide soft shoes that she can wear outside that have narrow fittings?

Wow my 5yr old is the same size ! Startrite suit her better (and will order her shoes in to try). What do you mean by soft shoes ?

hi forever,
i had the same problem with ds now 11 and would say startrite were the best in terms of fit and choice of styles in early years. For first shoes which I couldnt get in his size (too big feet) I bought slippers, you know the type with high back, rubber sole and velcro fastening, Clarks do them in fittings, but that was age 14m perhaps your dd needs something more stylish/summery? In years of experience, sandals are the hardest to find. sorry cant offer any better help, but I do sympathise.

Where are you?

I have found that there are some brilliant independent shoe shops for DC that stock from all over the place (Europe) and so have better range. My DC never fit standard...DD has really narrow sparrow feet.

Call a chiropodist or podiarist to see if they know of a good shop for kids.
