What does your child currently want to be when they grow up?

Ds (4) says

"a daddy, and a builder and a car racer and a running racer and Zoe the Vet"

DS2 (4) wanted to be a tyrannosaurus rex when he grew up until he realised they are now extinct. Now he wants to be a man who wears a tyrannosaurus rex costume!

I will watch this thread with interest because I still have no idea of what I want to be when I grow up and I'm in need of careers advice.

I'm liking the dinosaur option - apart from the slight stumbling block of being extinct, does it pay well?

"I will have five children, I hope, or 1 if I'm not lucky" (ds only child so far)

dd (6.5) is very very definite that she is going to be a nursery teacher and a mummy ! She has aspirations to have her own nursery !

DD (6) 'a cook person' a chef I presume

He wants to be in the circus I think - as the Amazing Milk-drinking Baby!

Just asked them :

DD(7) -an artist and a doctor (shes said this consistently for years)

DS (2) a fireman (last time I asked it was a butterfly so some improvement there!)

ds 2.10.....depending on the day..a fireman or a doctor....or an ice-cream man

DS1 - fireman, bus driver, police driver, anything driver
DS2 - doctor, Robin Hood, Dr Who

Dd1 (9) - Scientist

Dd2 (7) - Teacher

Ds (4) - Spiderman

My dd use to say she wanted to be a serial killer ?? think she said it to shock,well i hope so..

Ds 3.10 - a life guard, but only coz he thinks it's cool to be able to jump in the water with all your clothes on and not get told off

Ds1 (5.11) - a fireman, a builder, a policeman, and a space ranger
Dd (3.8) - a doctor or a cowgirl

Dd2 (5) declares she and her friend Benjamin are going to be policewomen(!) - he'll be the driver and she'll be the look-out.

dd, who is 6, wants to be a mummy, an artist, a fashion show (?), a teacher, a writer or a baker.

She has wanted to be an artist for a couple of years now.

ds1 (9.5) in a successful band or a scientist. ''I'd better be a scientist to start with in case my band isn't that good....''

ds2 (6.5) train driver or footballer. When I ventured that he once said he'd like to be a spaceman, he looked at me and said pompously ''do you mean an astronaut?''

He was a bit fed up of DH working long hours a few months ago and said "Daddy why don't you just quit that job and be a manager for Arsenal?" Not too sure what Mr Wenger would think of being usurped by an accountant!!
