I'm really concerned that I'm letting this slip. Ds is small. We took him for testing a few years ago and he has borderline growth hormone deficiency. The consultant our consultant reports to said no to treatment.

Since then his younger sister (two years) has grown to the same height.

He is still a size 4. No change to any uniform except trousers which we let down by half an inch recently.

He is noticeably small. At 13 he is the size of a ten year old.

I’d be tempted to measure him and book an appointment back at the GP.

I'm just worried it's too late. I read you should start treatment by nine to be effective

How old was he when the Paed said no treatment OP? It sounds to me like you’ve reached out to get him help, so you shouldn’t feel guilty.

Y DS was a slow grower and has always been smaller than his mates. Once puberty has kicked in he’s shot up and he’s now taller than them. I know they’ll catch up but it’s been a huge relief for me to see him actually grow Smile

He was 10 I think. The projected height is 5 8 but I don't know if this is a ballpark figure (eg could be 5 6).

He is teeny, tiny delicate bones etc. Photos of him as a toddler show a massive head and tiny body - I think we started to worry when he was year three.
