My son was doing great since his first birthday, finally mastered sleep, he’s never been the best sleeper but after his 1st birthday he goes from 7:30pm-6/7am.
Lately, he’s been very irritable during the day, doesn’t want to do anything but be on my hip and even then he’s very grumpy and winey.
He does suffer with teething a lot but usually that’ll be a day or two of discomfort but nothing a teething powder or bit of medicine doesn’t sort, the past 5ish days he won’t take medicine and even when he does it doesn’t do anything he still isn’t himself.

Last night was the worst night since he was born, he only had about 3 hours max, he was awake every hour sometimes for hours at a time crying and nothing would settle him at all but he was shattered and I could tell he just wanted to go to sleep but something was stopping him. I feel so useless and upset I don’t know what’s wrong with my poor little boy.

He sometimes goes off his food it’s hit and miss depending on what mood he is in at the time so for the past few days while he’s been like this I give him food if and when he wants. But plenty of fluids and possibly an extra bottle.
with having 3 nights and tonight looks like it’s on the 4th with virtually no sleep and an aggravated 13+3 month old me and my partner are now sniping at each other. I can’t leave him with anyone to go to work either because he is so bad, I had to leave work early as he was that upset and wouldn’t stop crying my nan (who was minding him) thought it was best to collect him.

Is it a sleep regression?
Is it teething?
Is it something I’m doing?
Is it normal?
Is it something I need to go and get checked? Or am I being a over thinking Mum?

If anyone has any advice it’s much needed and appreciated because I can’t go on like this, it’s a living nightmare at the minute 😭😭 I don’t know what to do.

Has he got a temperature? I’m thinking he needs to be checked by a GP.

No, no temperature

How was he last night? If he’s still as unhappy I’d be taking him to the GP this morning and asking them to check his ears, throat and tummy.
